Well, life has been interesting. Little Ruby is so jealous of Snowball that she peed on the bed three times in one week, always in the spot where Snowball had just been sitting. There was some yelling, of course what you are not supposed to do. What a nightmare. The bed currently has a couple of blue tarps draped over it. I've been meaning to get a new mattress anyways.

Last weekend Matt and I went to Wilcox to look for sandhill cranes on the playa. We did not find any. We then went to Apple Annie's orchard and found out 1). that the actual orchard wasn't that big and 2). that it was closed. Their country store was open and there were pies and jams to purchase. We had lunch at the Horseshoe Cafe in Benson, lovely onion rings.

On the playa.

I've finished a dig- I'll do a separate blog post on that project, and I'm starting a new one.

I've done something to the muscles on my right shoulder. At times it hurts terribly, especially when I am typing, lol. OUCH!.

The weather has been awful, well cold and rainy, and my house is a freezer. One morning last week I got up and some snow flakes started falling. I thought it would last a few minutes, but it continued. I kept taking Ruby out to go to the bathroom, but she did not like the snow. She finally peed, thankfully.

Ruby says " No way!"

I went up to the side of Sentinel Peak and took a few photos. The last time it snowed like this was in 2007 (see my profile picture to the right).

Snow on the saguaros.

My mother made this sweater in 1982.

Some new possessions. Mario brought me over two pairs of chairs. I really like the gaudy French-looking dining room chairs.

I have a thing for chairs.

Antique shopping with Matt. Most of the stuff in the big malls is just junk, the stuff that no one really wants (collectibles!).

Matt and a musk ox head.

Another chair for $24 from an unexpected antique store along St. Mary's Road, shopping with Matt. Reminds me of my great grandfather's chairs that my sister Susan has.

Antique chair.

I have been looking at estate sales (wish I had gotten that pie safe, lesson learned, if you want it, get it). One was an online auction and I got a pair of paintings for $25. This one is my favorite of the two.

Red bird painting.

I have a physical coming up and I am expecting to get reprimanded for being too fat. It gets harder to lose pounds as I get older. I am no longer the thin 147-pounder I was in 1986,
